Role Summary
This leadership role is responsible for managing major client relationships, developing new business opportunities, and shaping the firm's overall strategy and growth. This position involves being a trusted advisor to C-suite executives on large-scale transformations, generating new business, and leading the firm's direction by setting new business goals, expanding into new markets, and developing new service offerings.
Key Responsibilities
Client leadership: Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client executives, primarily on large-scale transformations, and manage strategic client relationships.
Business development: Actively generate new business and source projects, similar to a senior sales professional, and identify opportunities for clients to advise on transformational change.
Firm strategy: Lead the development and implementation of the firm's overall strategy, including setting new business goals and expanding into new markets.
Team and people development: Lead and develop consulting staff, mentor junior colleagues, and contribute to the firm's knowledge base by sharing expertise.
Key Qualifications and Attributes
Experience: Extensive experience in consulting or a similar role, often gained through a progression from lower levels like Engagement Manager and Partner.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams, manage complex client relationships, and drive high-impact results.
Intellectual leadership: Provide deep functional knowledge, expertise, and intellectual insight to guide client problem-solving.
Strategic thinking: Ability to identify and develop new client opportunities and shape new service offerings.
Commitment: High level of commitment and dedication to the firm and its clients, often involving long hours and demanding workloads.
