Manager Strategy - Global FMCG

Drive strategy, program architecture, portfolio management and Long-Range Plan in market. Drive New Ways of Working in market and support project delivery across.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Strategy - Drive market strategy development and alignment across functions; identify inter-dependencies and seek for efficiencies. Run and facilitate strategic planning process in close cooperation and alignment across different functions.

  • Program architecture - Prepare local strategy to ensure delivery of company results - As an integrated POC for strategic projects, ensure market deployment following structured methodology - Roll-out strategy in the market and at the functional level

  • Business Planning - Work closely with Financial Planning to develop strategy Plan in close collaboration with HQ and in full alignment with planning processes - Manage implementation of KPI framework anchored on global principles - Generate and synthesize market-level competitive intelligence with other functions

  • Business Development - Contribute ideas and insights to Business Development initiatives around increasing market expansion, establishing new channels, and building new partnerships that contribute to overall business and commercial objectives

  • Project execution / efficiency management Lead selected key projects; drive continuous improvement initiatives and lead the development of tools/ processes to increase quality of work while mastering all relevant systems.

  • People Management Lead and develop key competencies of team members by providing guidance and constructive feedback to foster both personal and professional development. Ensure transfer of knowledge in a highly rotating environment.

  • Management presentations Lead the preparation of executive presentations of strategy reviews and management updates supporting MD and management team.

Core Skills and Requirements:

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Finance / Business Economics / Marketing / Statistics

  • 5-10 years work experience in Managerial position leading strategy & projects

  • Top-end strategic problem solving and large scale program delivery skills gained in major transformations

  • Very strong analytics and numerical problem solving capability - Ideally spike in commercial (sales and marketing) transformations, digital, go-to-market, commercial partnership development in FMCG but also other consumer services sectors

  • Mix of consulting experience in leading strategy firm and corporate development/ strategy/ line leadership in major corporate

  • High gravitas, strong influencer and collaborator
